Currently based in Los Angeles, Skematix is a global nomad known for his excellent selection of classic & up and coming UK Garage (UKG) tunes. Growing up in seven different countries across five continents, it was while attending high school in Belgium in the late 90’s where he first heard UKG, the Artful Dodger’s “Re-Rewind.” After moving to Seattle for University in 2001 he dove in to producing events as part of United State of Consciousness (USC Events) and later on his own as basic. entertainment. In 2008 he decided it was time to pursue a career in entertainment and moved to Los Angeles.

It wasn’t until nearly fifteen years later that he rediscovered his passion for the UK Garage sound he had first heard so long ago. He learned how to DJ and produce over the course of a year long program at ioMusic Academy in Hollywood and has recently been performed four unique sets at Burning Man 2024 as well as various clubs, raves and desert parties around the greater Los Angeles area. Skematix is known to occassionally branch out into house, breaks, grime, dubstep and drum & bass.
