hi press is a South London-born DJ and promoter based in Glasgow. Through his former party, Beton Brut, he brought artists such as Jamz Supernova, Oneman, and Lagoon Femshayma up to Scotland, while also supporting Interplanetary Criminal, Hudson Mohawke, Nikki Nair, and Main Phase at various venues throughout the city. His new party, common room, is due to launch in January 2025, with an aim of bringing live performance into a club setting.

Whether you define it as eclectic or just inconsistent, hi press’s musical focus regularly shifts and this is reflected in his mixes. Artists such as Si Begg, LCY, Crookers, and Modeselektor have inspired a love for all things with a bit of bounce, and growing up in South London means that Dubstep and 140 is often in there somewhere. Always ambitious and experimental in terms of selection, he tries to put together what is exciting him most at the time, hoping it does the same for whoever tunes in.
